I am a working mother-do
I have to do a
full time program of forty hours a week
to see results?
No. We have worked with parents who do full time
and part time programs in the afternoons or evenings. Of course,
the more you work one on one with your child the more quickly changes
are likely to occur. However, any amount of time you can spend with
your child in this way will be beneficial to him/her. We offer a
personalized program that takes into account what your family wants
and feels capable of providing.
My son is already
involved in other therapies. Does this program work well with other
treatment programs?
Yes. We have worked with families who do a Son-Rise
Program in conjunction with biological/dietary intervention, auditory
integration therapy, cranial sacral therapy and some occupational,
speech and physical therapies. However, because of the unique principles
taught in The Son-Rise Program®, some therapies may conflict. As
parents, we want you to clearly understand what does and does not
work well with The Son-Rise Program. We would be happy to discuss
other therapies you may be considering or are already doing to help
design the most consistent and powerful program for your child.
I have been turned
away from other programs because I was told my son was too old for
intervention. Do you only work with children under the age of five?
Absolutely not! We have worked with children of
all ages, including adults, who have shown tremendous change. Although
we would recommend offering this kind of help as soon as possible,
we do not believe there is any cap on a person's ability to grow
to his/her full potential.
I know that the autistic
spectrum is very broad. Do you work with children who are “higher
functioning?”
Absolutely. We have had a great deal of experience
working with children diagnosed with PDD (Pervasive Developmental
Delay), High Functioning Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. Because
our primary focus is on promoting interaction, we have found it
to be incredibly powerful for children on this end of
the spectrum, who may have many strong skills but are challenged
in creating relationships.
How do I know if
this program will be effective for my child?
Although we would never guarantee the ways your
child will change, we are incredibly confident that your child will
benefit tremendously. All of the children we have worked with have
changed in some significant way- even to the point of having no
trace of any challenge whatsoever.
We also know that there are many different programs
that are offered to parents. You want what will be best for your
child and we want that too . Contact us so we can discuss your child's
specific challenges and what would be most effective for him/her. |
